Quiz/Exam: T/F & MC

All quiz & exam questions are designed to demonstrate a variety of Critical Thinking Skills & Attitudes. Quizzes will be 10 questions. Part A of an exam will contain 47 questions, 2 pts each (94%), which may be T/F &/or MC questions from the modules which the exam will cover.

1.   Recognize what Wellness is. (D)
2.   Recognize how Stress is a process. (D/T)
3.   Recognize the various types of stressors. (D/T)
4.   Recognize what factors (Nature & Nurture) influence Stress & Wellness. (D/W/T)
5.   Recognize various therapeutic methods to cope with stress. (AC/D/T)


Exam: Essay

Essays questions may be prepared ahead of time and brought into class. Out of all modules the exam covers I will pick 5 essay questions and you will pick 1 worth 6 pts (6%) for Part B of the exam.

6.   Explain what Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) & Psychophysiological Illness are. (D/T)
7.   Provide a problem-focused & emotion-focused method of coping with stress in your life. (D/T)
8.   Explain how using an emotion-focused coping method may actually do more harm than good. (D/T)

NOTE: When I say "in your life" I mean something unique to you & thus not an example from your text! Your life
          though does include what happens directly to you, to others you observe, see in movies or tv, in the
          mall etc.
