5.   Do not sleep, text, email, surf the web, play games or chit chat in class.

13. Prepare your Essay questions ahead of time.
14. Make use of the Additional Resources for each Module.
15. Do not forget to bring your workbook to class and reread all directions to make sure you followed them.

11. Why do you have a website rather than give us paper copies of the course materials?

This course is what KCC defines as a Face-to-Face Using Technology course. KCC defines this as a course in which all of the instruction is scheduled to be delivered face to face but the instructor uses web-based technology i.e. Angel as a document repository, a resource for learners, and or a delivery mode for a limited number of course learning and or assessment activities. The instructor will make any document, resources, or learning and or assessment activities delivered online, available offline to any learners who request it.

In addition, I serve on KCC's Sustainability committee. The Sustainability Committee's Vision is to:

1.
Achieve carbon neutrality for the KCC campus by involving faculty, staff, and students in creating and maintaining a campus culture that embodies the ideals of sustainability.

2.
Expand KCC's curriculum to support sustainability and the growing renewable energy industry, and share that curriculum with educational institutions across Illinois.

3. C
reate models that illustrate sustainability and share these models with the local community as well as with educational institutions across Illinois.

4.
Create partnerships between KCC and other community organizations to promote and nurture sustainability beyond the college campus.

It is with this vision that I use my website as a resource of materials which students can read online rather than read from a paper copy which would use our planet's resources.

In addition, my website allows students to copy & paste outcomes to Word documents or Notetaking programs allowing them make space and take notes in a different color for each outcome. Again, these documents do not have to be printed out but viewed online adding to Sustainability efforts although some may want to print out and use on notecards etc.
Online resources such as articles, videos, powerpoints, and many other resources from other sources are available for students to learn from.
